Overview

The Copy Editor will be responsible for ensuring high editorial quality, accuracy, and consistency in UN Women communications, particularly in Sinhala language materials.

• Translating documents from English to Sinhala.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in journalism, communications, or related field.
• At least 2 years of professional experience in copy editing and writing in Sinhala.
• Proven ability to produce clear and compelling content.
• Knowledge of gender-sensitive language and terminology.
• Familiarity with UN editorial standards.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Fluency in English and Sinhala; knowledge of Tamil is a plus.
