Cost Analyst – Data Center Construction - Remote

Overview

Turner & Townsend is seeking a highly skilled Cost Engineer to join our data center team. This role involves managing and analyzing costs for data center construction projects, ensuring financial efficiency and accuracy throughout the project lifecycle.

In Short

• Develop and maintain detailed project budgets, including labor, materials, equipment, and services.
• Perform comprehensive cost analysis and forecasting to ensure projects stay within budget.
• Create and maintain interactive dashboards and visual reports using Power BI.
• Analyze large datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for cost optimization.
• Identify potential financial risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Prepare and present detailed cost reports and progress updates to project managers and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with project teams, procurement, and contract management for cost control.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
• Engage and manage third-party quantity surveyors.
• Define and track cost performance metrics.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in cost engineering, focusing on data center construction.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Power BI and dashboard management.
• Strong analytical skills and understanding of financial forecasting.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
