Electrical Cost Estimator - Data Center Construction - Remote

Overview

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Electrical Cost Estimator to support the delivery of large-scale, mission‑critical data center projects. This role is integral to the commercial planning and execution of highly technical facilities where electrical infrastructure represents a significant portion of overall project cost and risk.

• Prepare detailed electrical cost estimates for data center projects.
• Perform comprehensive quantity takeoffs from drawings and specifications.
• Develop accurate labor, material, and equipment pricing models.
• Maintain historical cost data and estimating assumptions.
• Review and analyze electrical contractor bids.
• Support value engineering and design optioneering.
• Collaborate with engineering and construction teams.
• Identify and assess risks related to electrical equipment.
• Account for regional cost variations across U.S. markets.
• Ensure estimates align with applicable codes and standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• 3–5+ years of experience in electrical estimating.
• Strong knowledge of power distribution systems and electrical codes.
• Experience with high-density power or hyperscale facilities.
• Proficiency in estimating tools such as Accubid or ConEst.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
