Overview

The Philanthropy Coordinator is responsible for supporting California-based fundraisers and all aspects of the philanthropy program in California, including donor cultivation, solicitation, and recognition.

In Short

  • Support California-based fundraisers and philanthropy program.
  • Assist with donor cultivation, solicitation, and recognition.
  • Coordinate donor cultivation and fundraising events.
  • Manage donor tracking in the fundraising database.
  • Conduct research on donors and prospects.
  • Schedule meetings, travel, and appointments.
  • Produce donor communications.
  • Provide administrative support to the California Philanthropy Program.
  • Maintain donor contact and gift records.
  • Assist with event logistics and execution.

Requirements

  • Fundraising experience, including events.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • 2-3 years of support experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with donor management software a plus.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel throughout California.
  • Knowledge of conservation and environmental issues a plus.
