Overview

Trout Unlimited (TU) is a national organization focused on recovering rivers and streams to support wild and native trout and salmon. The NW Cascades Program aims to improve native fish habitat in Washington’s Cascade Mountains.

In Short

• Manage watershed restoration projects in Washington.
• Support project planning, permitting, and implementation oversight.
• Collaborate with U.S. Forest Service and other stakeholders.
• Perform administrative duties including grant reporting and budget management.
• Engage in outreach and communications for the program.
• Fundraise for program and project support.
• Participate in regional meetings and events.
• Travel regularly within the project areas.
• Work with diverse partners in conservation efforts.
• Utilize software tools for project management and data collection.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in biology or related field.
• 3+ years in fisheries or natural resource management.
• Understanding of river restoration principles.
• Experience with project permitting for aquatic restoration.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Experience with grant writing and fundraising.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
• Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of ArcGIS preferred.
