Software Engineering Tutor - Remote

Overview

As a Software Engineering Tutor at TripleTen, you will support students in mastering software engineering concepts through our 8-month program, utilizing an AI Learning Assistant to enhance the learning experience.

In Short

• Help students with no prior experience navigate the software engineering curriculum.
• Answer student questions and provide guidance on projects via Discord.
• Validate and correct AI Learning Assistant responses.
• Communicate with students 5 days a week during specified hours.
• Possess a good level of written English for effective communication.
• Have a background in software development and a passion for teaching.
• Provide feedback on the AI bot's performance.
• Engage with students to ensure they receive the support they need.
• Participate in team communications regarding student progress.
• Receive training to enhance tutoring skills.

Requirements

• 1+ years of professional software development experience.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Node.js, and Express.
• Strong communication skills and a desire to help others.
• Experience with Discord is a plus.
• Teaching or tutoring experience is preferred.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Patience and the ability to simplify complex concepts.
• Experience as an online student is beneficial.
