Overview

Fuss & O’Neill is seeking a Water Resource | Dam Engineer to join their growing Water and Natural Resources team, focusing on impactful work in watershed management, dam safety, and urban stormwater systems.

In Short

  • Support project managers with modeling and design for water and natural resource projects.
  • Conduct hydrologic analysis of watersheds and delineation of catchments.
  • Perform hydraulic evaluations of culverts, bridges, streams, and riverine systems.
  • Contribute to design of dam repairs, removals, and stormwater treatment systems.
  • Assist with fieldwork and site assessments.
  • Write technical reports and ensure quality deliverables.
  • Participate in QA/QC processes.
  • Mentor and train junior level staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Environmental, or related field).
  • At least 4+ years of relevant working experience, consulting experience preferred.
  • EIT preferred (or ability to obtain within one year).
  • Experience with HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, HydroCAD, and other modeling software.
  • Familiarity with PCSWMM, StormCAD, and Civil3D a plus.
  • Strong written communication skills with emphasis on technical report writing.
  • Dam-related project experience strongly preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
