Financial Intelligence Unit Associate - Remote

Overview

The Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) Associate will assist in the analysis, investigation and verification of financial transactions to detect and prevent financial crimes such as application and transaction fraud, money laundering, and terrorist financing.

In Short

• Verify applicant/customer information using online sources/OSINT, 3rd party and internal databases.
• Conduct verification calls and emails to applicants/customers.
• Analyze application, account and financial transactions to identify suspicious activities.
• Assist in collecting and organizing financial data from various sources.
• Prepare and review reports on findings for accuracy and completeness.
• Research and gather additional information from external databases.
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of all investigative activities.
• Communicate findings to senior analysts and stakeholders.
• Participate in training and professional development opportunities.

Requirements

• 1 – 3 years of experience in financial services industry.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of financial crime prevention.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail and discretion.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
