Financial Intelligence Unit Analyst - Remote

Overview

This role will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) including performing reviews of alerts generated through credit applications and analyzing business accounts for unusual or suspicious activity.

• Support day-to-day operations of the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU).
• Perform reviews of alerts generated through credit applications.
• Conduct verification calls and emails to confirm alerts.
• Analyze and decision alerts based on fraud indicators.
• Maintain and monitor fraud rings or ongoing alert trends.
• Draft investigative narratives including suspicious activity reports.
• Conduct customer due diligence measures in accordance with policies.
• Assist in maintaining required watch lists database.
• Review alerts for potential sanctions matches and suspicious activity.
• Work closely with FIU members in multiple countries.

Requirements

• Intermediate knowledge of fraud and financial crime prevention.
• Ability to evaluate and improve current processes.
• Strong problem-solving skills and time management.
• Self-starter with a knowledge-seeking behavior.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office Applications and advanced Excel.
• Experience with ComplyAdvantage and LexisNexis.
• Familiarity with CRM software like Salesforce.
• 2-3 years of experience in financial crimes compliance.
• Education: Associate degree or equivalent.
