Overview

The Principal Software Engineer on the CAVO platform will lead the development of innovative, scalable software solutions that support complex document review workflows for healthcare payers and providers.

In Short

• Lead the design and development of scalable services for CAVO’s core features.
• Architect solutions spanning the entire CAVO stack including Angular, Node.js, and Go.
• Collaborate on the evolution of CAVO’s distributed document processing architecture.
• Champion best practices for code quality, automated testing, CI/CD, and operational excellence.
• Partner with product managers to refine business requirements into technical specifications.
• Provide technical mentorship and guide engineering teams toward scalable implementations.
• Lead initiatives to improve performance and reliability across serverless and containerized services.
• Participate in architecture and roadmap planning sessions.
• Ensure engineering solutions align with healthcare compliance requirements.
• Contribute to documentation and knowledge sharing across teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
• 8+ years of professional software development experience.
• Deep expertise in TypeScript and Node.js.
• Strong frontend experience with Angular.
• Proficiency in Go, especially for performance-sensitive services.
• Understanding of distributed systems and asynchronous architectures.
• Experience designing large-scale systems in AWS.
• Experience with document-centric workflows.
• Effective communicator with technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience with DevOps practices and tools.
