Accounting Manager - General Ledger & Payroll - Remote

Overview

As an Accounting Manager with a focus on general ledger and payroll, you will support impactful transportation projects at Toole Design, ensuring operational excellence in financial reporting and compliance.

In Short

• Lead and support core accounting functions
• Focus on general ledger integrity and payroll operations
• Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting
• Oversee journal entries, reconciliations, and monthly close process
• Prepare and analyze financial reports
• Maintain internal controls and accounting policies
• Support payroll processes and multi-state tax compliance
• Manage and mentor accounting staff
• Collaborate across departments for financial guidance
• Drive consistency, accountability, and continuous improvement

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Supervisory experience in managing and developing staff
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and large ERP systems
• Working knowledge of FAR, CAS, multi-state payroll
• Experience in managing general ledger functions
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively
