Accounts Receivable Accountant - Remote

In Short

• Manage the full Accounts Receivable (AR) process, including invoice preparation, issuance, and tracking.
• Monitor customer accounts for delayed payments and proactively follow up on outstanding balances.
• Apply payments accurately to customer accounts and reconcile discrepancies.
• Assist in creating and posting journal entries related to AR and revenue transactions.
• Perform monthly reconciliations of the AR sub-ledger to the general ledger.
• Maintain aging reports and provide regular updates to the management team.
• Communicate professionally with clients regarding invoices, payments, and account issues.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams across different time zones (U.S. and India) to ensure smooth processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience handling Accounts Receivable processes and financial reporting.
• Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, or MS Business Central (Dynamics 365) is preferred.
• Ability to quickly learn new systems and adapt to varying client processes.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English to collaborate effectively with clients and teams.
