Data Engineer - Remote

Overview

As a Data Engineer at Tide, you will be responsible for building and running the data pipelines and services that support business functions, reports, and dashboards, utilizing a modern data stack.

In Short

• Develop end-to-end ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Design and implement scalable data processing solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers in the team.
• Provide troubleshooting and diagnosis for data architecture challenges.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Ensure data quality and governance.
• Collaborate with Data Analysts for optimized data feeds.
• Build Looker dashboards as needed.
• Work with a variety of data technologies and tools.
• Support flexible working arrangements.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience with Snowflake or similar technologies.
• Experience with dbt, Airflow, Fivetran, and AWS.
• Proficient in advanced SQL and performance tuning.
• Experience in data ingestion techniques.
• Strong data modeling skills.
• Experience with ETL processes and large datasets.
• Familiarity with Data Mesh architecture is a plus.
• Agile experience, preferably in SCRUM.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Basic understanding of AWS systems is beneficial.
