Senior Accountant - Remote

Overview

The Senior Accountant will oversee various aspects of the financial reporting and accounting close process, as well as preparation of various accruals and account reconciliations, contributing to the strategic financial goals of Wonderful Pistachios.

In Short

• Lead month-end close and financial reporting process.
• Conduct monthly & quarterly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements ensuring accuracy.
• Review general ledger accounts for accuracy.
• Prepare inter-company reconciliations and analyze transactions.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
• Collaborate with finance and operational departments.
• Proactively identify areas for financial workflow enhancement.
• Assist with year-end financial and audit requests.
• Oversee Finance and Accounting interns.

Requirements

• 3+ years of accounting experience.
• BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred.
• CPA and/or public accounting experience preferred.
• Solid understanding of GAAP.
• Proficient in Excel, MS Word, and Outlook.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and work under pressure.
• Organized and goal-oriented team player.
• Ability to take strategic action in fast-changing situations.
