The Stage has an excellent full-time opportunity for a reporter to join its fast-paced news team, creating engaging editorial content for various platforms.

In Short

• Create exciting editorial content for the website and print.
• Meet daily and weekly deadlines.
• Source additional media like photos and videos.
• Develop industry contacts.
• Represent The Stage at industry events.
• Communicate with the editorial team for smooth operations.
• Liaise with other departments for company benefits.
• Work within accepted style, quality, law, and balance requirements.
• Provide cover for team members.
• Upload content to The Stage website.

Requirements

• Recognised journalism qualification.
• Knowledge of UK performing arts and entertainment.
• Good working knowledge of media law.
• PC and Mac literate.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with WordPress and Adobe CS (preferred).
• Experience in video and audio capture and editing (preferred).
• Experience with data and financial reporting (desirable).
