Overview

We’re looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper & Administrative Assistant to manage bookkeeping for a small client portfolio, assist with VAT returns, and support firm administration.

In Short

  • Manage weekly bookkeeping for clients
  • Assist with preparation of VAT returns
  • Perform bank reconciliations and month-end checks
  • Complete client onboarding procedures
  • Prepare Letters of Engagement and check AML documentation
  • Register clients for tax purposes
  • Support clients with Making Tax Digital for Income Tax
  • Communicate effectively in English
  • Maintain knowledge of taxation regulations
  • Other administrative tasks as needed

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Xero and QuickBooks
  • Strong knowledge of bookkeeping fundamentals
  • Experience with MS Excel and Microsoft 365
  • Ability to prioritize tasks efficiently
  • Strong communication skills
  • Willingness to learn new skills
  • Knowledge of UK VAT regulations
  • Detail-oriented and organized
  • Ability to work independently
  • Experience in administrative tasks
