Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Back Office Manager who is well-versed in pre-authorization processes, medical copays, and CPT codes. This position is essential for managing the financial operations of our healthcare facility, ensuring accurate billing practices, and maintaining efficient filing systems to support our revenue cycle management.

In Short

  • Build out, oversee and manage the Billing and Filing Department.
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate billing and filing staff.
  • Develop and implement best practices for all billing, filing, and back-office processes.
  • Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to ensure compliance.
  • Manage accounts receivable, auditing for accuracy and ensuring optimal levels.
  • Handle claim submission for Vision and Medical Insurance.
  • Produce training material for staff.
  • Use effective communication to provide updates to team members.
  • Identify and implement automation opportunities to streamline workflows.
  • Stay abreast of industry regulations and changes in billing and filing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, finance, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in billing management within a healthcare setting.
  • In-depth knowledge of medical billing procedures and CPT coding.
  • Proficiency in using billing software and EHR systems.
  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication skills to work collaboratively with patients and staff.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Highly organized with strong leadership skills.
  • Proactive attitude with a commitment to compliance.
  • Strong leadership qualities and ability to multitask effectively.
