Overview

The Bilingual Claims Administrator is responsible for providing excellent customer service and performing administrative duties for Death and Living benefit claims, requiring proficiency in both French and English.

In Short

  • Answer inbound claims calls from claimants and other stakeholders.
  • Provide accurate and timely resolution to claims inquiries.
  • Manage the claims notification process and maintain the claims register.
  • Process administrative transactions for adjudication review.
  • Display high energy and a positive attitude while meeting tight timelines.
  • Continuously learn about customer priorities and expectations.
  • Communicate information clearly and accurately while ensuring compliance.
  • Assist team members to meet objectives and maintain service level agreements.
  • Handle customer complaints as per company guidelines.
  • Meet privacy and compliance guidelines in all activities.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary diploma or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of customer service experience.
  • Fully bilingual in French and English; Spanish is a plus.
  • Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Word and Excel with accurate keyboarding skills.
  • Understanding of insurance products and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Creative problem-solving abilities.
  • Mathematical skills for calculations related to benefits.
  • Post-secondary education preferred.
