Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) - Clinical File Review Specialist - Remote

Overview

The IMA Group is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our Payer Services division as a Clinical File Review Specialist. This role supports an innovative clinical review model, allowing you to apply your expertise in a fully remote, non-patient-facing environment.

In Short

• Review medical records across multiple specialties (orthopedics, internal medicine, neurology, cardiology, and more)
• Analyze and synthesize complex clinical documentation into structured summaries
• Identify key medical findings, inconsistencies, and gaps
• Prepare draft report frameworks for physician review and sign-off
• Support case organization and complexity tiering
• Collaborate with physician reviewers and QA teams
• Maintain turnaround time and quality benchmarks

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted NP or PA license
• 3+ years of clinical experience (internal medicine, ortho, neuro, occupational medicine, or related fields preferred)
• Strong medical record interpretation skills across specialties
• Excellent written communication and analytical skills
• Ability to thrive in a remote, technology-driven environment
