Overview

The Chicago School seeks a skilled and motivated Grant Writer to support and enhance the institution’s capacity for competitive, mission-aligned grant submissions. This role is pivotal in helping The Chicago School secure funding for institutional initiatives, research, and cross-campus partnerships that advance our national impact.

In Short

• Develop high-quality, competitive grant proposals.
• Research and interpret funding opportunities.
• Collaborate with faculty and leadership for data collection.
• Manage grant lifecycles and compliance.
• Develop templates and resources for proposal development.
• Align proposals with college-wide goals.
• Serve as a liaison between funders and the institution.
• Support faculty and staff in pursuing grants.
• Occasional evening or weekend work may be required.
• Full-time remote position with flexible working hours.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in English or Communications.
• Minimum of 7 years of grant writing experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with electronic submission platforms.
• Advanced degree in Psychology or related field preferred.
• Familiarity with federal agencies and foundations.
• Strong attention to detail and independent judgment.
