In Short

  • Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and eating.
  • Perform vital signs, weights/heights, intakes, and outputs with accuracy.
  • Document all patient interactions in the medical record.
  • Interact effectively with patients and their families.
  • Help patients with hygiene tasks and repositioning in bed.
  • Listen to patient health concerns and report to nursing staff.
  • Requires Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • 1-2 years of experience in patient care or elder care preferred.
  • Strong customer service skills and knowledge of medical terminology required.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
  • BLS Certification preferred.
  • Certified Medical Assistant certification preferred.
  • Emergency Medical Technician certification preferred.
  • Nursing Assistant certification preferred.
  • Proficient computer skills for electronic medical records.
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
  • Strong patient/customer service skills.
  • Physical ability to perform job functions including lifting and moving patients.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
