Overview

The Boeing Company is seeking an Experienced Optical Sensors Engineer to join their Optical Sensors Team in Berkeley, MO, focusing on developing and integrating optical sensor solutions for defense applications.

In Short

  • Develop requirements and specifications for optical sensors.
  • Integrate components into higher-level architectures.
  • Conduct trade studies, modeling, and simulation.
  • Define and validate tests for sensor performance.
  • Collect, prepare, and analyze data for stakeholders.
  • Coordinate technical drawings and data items.
  • Resolve production hardware failures and issues.
  • Recommend engineering solutions for sensor integration.
  • Support the Boeing F-22 program.
  • Must obtain a U.S. Security Clearance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, mathematics, or related field.
  • 5+ years of related work experience or 3+ years with a Master's/PhD.
  • Experience in designing and testing complex EO/IR systems preferred.
  • Ability to obtain U.S. Security Clearance.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with data analysis and modeling tools.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Familiarity with aerospace industry standards is a plus.
