Senior Accountant - Remote

Overview

We are looking for a senior accountant to join our business advisory services team at Backroom Offshoring Inc. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations, preparing and filing tax returns and reports, and assisting with management accounting, forecasts, and budgeting.

In Short

• Prepare financial statements, tax returns, and reports for clients.
• Prepare indirect tax returns (GST, PAYE, FBT) for clients.
• Prepare management accounts for clients on a periodic basis.
• Identify and resolve accounting issues and discrepancies.
• Ensure jobs are completed to a high quality, meeting technical standards and deadlines.
• Prepare budgets, cashflows, and working capital forecasts.
• Analyse and interpret financial data and provide insights.
• Manage workflow to ensure effective delivery.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Research and advise on accounting standards and tax laws.

Requirements

• Tertiary qualification in accounting essential.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a chartered accountants practice.
• Excellent skills in Excel and proficiency in MS Office.
• Proficient in using Xero.
• Attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
• Teamwork and willingness to assist others.
• Strong time management and organization skills.
• Strong English language proficiency.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
