Overview

The Athletic is seeking a passionate content producer and video editor to create engaging social-first video content primarily focused on NFL and NBA coverage.

In Short

• Produce, shoot, and edit videos with newsroom talent.
• Write scripts and direct presenting talent.
• Create content for app and social video channels.
• Manage channels and community tasks.
• Identify trends to scale video products.
• Assist other video production teams with editing.
• On camera experience is desirable.

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant industry experience.
• BA/BS degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Expertise in Adobe Creative Cloud software.
• Outstanding editing skills and knowledge of After Effects.
• Ability to pitch original content.
• Experience with cameras, lighting, and audio.
• High professionalism and excellent communication skills.
• Creative and strategic thinking skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of US sports, specifically basketball and football.
