Overview

thatgamecompany is looking for an experienced Full Stack Engineer to support our flagship title Sky: Children of the Light, by developing applications to facilitate game operation functions.

In Short

• Develop applications to support game operation functions.
• Work with millions of active users generating terabytes of data.
• Report to the Lead Full Stack Engineer.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions to design features.
• Build backend API and frontend components.
• Interact with different departments to address problems.
• Contribute to the company’s culture and vision.
• Provide a portfolio of previous work.
• Work remotely from the US or Canada.
• 3+ years of professional programming experience required.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional programming experience.
• Experience with Node.js and building REST APIs.
• Knowledge of Typescript and modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases.
• Familiarity with Git version control.
• Experience with AWS services.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment.
• Proactive in improving solutions and processes.
• Bonus: Experience with Python, Go, and cloud project management.
