Payroll Specialist - Remote

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to support our organization’s payroll operations, requiring a strong background in payroll processing and compliance.

In Short

• Process bi-weekly payroll for employees using Workday Payroll.
• Ensure accurate calculation of wages, tax deductions, benefits, and other payroll-related items.
• Prepare and distribute paychecks and direct deposits, as well as special payments and bonuses.
• Ensure payroll aligns with company policy and compliance with payroll regulations.
• Provide payroll operations support, troubleshooting issues and optimizing workflows.
• Perform audits and reconciliations of payroll transactions.
• Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to ensure payroll data integrity.
• Generate payroll reports and support audits, tax filings, and year-end processing.
• Assist in the implementation of Workday Payroll and support system optimizations.
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll.

Requirements

• 3-5+ years of payroll processing and operations experience.
• Workday Payroll expertise with hands-on system configuration experience.
• Strong understanding of payroll best practices, tax laws, and compliance requirements.
• Experience with multi-state payroll processing is a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and payroll reporting tools.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
