Payroll Specialist - Remote

Overview

The Payroll Specialist will process payroll accurately and on time, manage payroll records, and assist employees with payroll inquiries under the supervision of the Payroll Manager.

In Short

• Process monthly international payrolls and bi-weekly payroll for Canada and the US.
• Update databases to reflect current employee information.
• Review and validate employee time sheets.
• Set up new hires in the time tracking system.
• Verify sub-contractor status and prepare reports for accounts payable.
• Reconcile payroll-related invoices and general ledgers.
• Manage payroll inquiries with exceptional customer service.
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws and company policies.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Support the Payroll Manager on various projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum of 4 years experience in payroll processing across multiple countries.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and technical proficiency.
• Ability to manage confidential information.
• Fluency in English and Spanish.
• Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of international employment tax laws.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel.
• Familiarity with payroll software.
