Warranty Services Representative - Remote

Overview

The Warranty Services Representative provides technical and warranty advice to vendors, builders, home buyers and owners, and conducts inspections and conciliations to assess complaints in compliance with the Ontario New Home Warranties Plan Act.

• Full-time position based in the Greater Toronto Area.
• Remote work is required from home office within Ontario.
• Frequent travel to assigned work locations within Ontario.
• Provide technical and warranty advice on warranty-related issues.
• Conduct inspections and meetings with external clients.
• Facilitate negotiation and resolution of warranty claims.
• Maintain impartiality while resolving disputes.
• Represent Tarion at various forums and outreach activities.
• Requires a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills needed.

Requirements

• 3 - 5 years of construction-related experience.
• Community college graduate in building science or related field.
• Experience in a neutral dispute resolution role preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of the Ontario Building Code is essential.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Access to high-speed internet from home office.
• Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Capacity to manage stressful situations effectively.
• BCIN qualification in Ontario Building Code is a plus.
