Public Affairs and Communications Summer Internship - Remote

Overview

The Public Affairs Intern will support the Public Affairs department and the Communications team with a variety of internal and external communications initiatives that target employees, new home buyers and other key stakeholders in the new home construction sector.

In Short

• Support internal and external communications initiatives.
• Research and write content for blogs, e-newsletters, and social media.
• Monitor traditional and social media activity.
• Assist with employee events and stakeholder outreach.
• Develop communications and education materials.
• Perform administrative tasks as required.
• Work in a hybrid model (2 days in office, 3 days remote).
• Must be enrolled in a relevant post-secondary program.
• Strong communication and organizational skills required.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and Adobe Suite is an asset.

Requirements

• Enrolled in a post-secondary degree or diploma program in public relations, communications, marketing or similar discipline.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Strong computer skills with experience in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Familiarity with Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) would be an asset.
• Strong interpersonal, time management and organizational skills.
• Experience in writing for social media and/or web considered an asset.
• Ability and keen willingness to work in a team environment.
• Strong attention to detail.
