Senior Accountant - Remote

Overview

We are seeking a high energy, detail-oriented and hands-on individual to join the accounting team as a Senior Accountant. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in driving the integrity and accuracy of our financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP, and supporting strategic decision-making.

In Short

• Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Develop and implement internal controls for compliance and accuracy.
• Own various accounting processes including cash and accruals.
• Assist with ERP system maintenance and improvements.
• Support the audit process with external auditors.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation.
• Author key accounting policies and procedures.
• Mentor and review the work of other team members.
• Participate in special projects and system enhancements.

Requirements

• Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience with accounting software platforms.
• Strong knowledge of internal controls related to financial processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred.
• 3+ years accounting/finance experience.
• Prior audit experience, Big 4 a plus.
• Experience with ERP systems preferred.
• Strong Excel and/or Google Sheets skills.
• Proven ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment.
