Senior Accountant - Remote

Overview

Mainstay is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our innovative Property Technology (PropTech) SaaS company. You will play a critical role in building scalable financial systems and ensuring accurate financial reporting.

In Short

• Own core accounting operations including GL maintenance and monthly close processes.
• Apply SaaS revenue recognition (ASC 606) for accurate financial reporting.
• Collaborate with Sales and Customer Success for billing and contract review.
• Assist in financial systems implementation (NetSuite, SaaSOptics, Stripe).
• Prepare financial reports for leadership, investors, and auditors.
• Support tax, audit, and compliance processes.
• Establish accounting policies and procedures.
• Oversee an outsource service provider.

Requirements

• 4–6 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of SaaS accounting and revenue recognition.
• Experience with accounting systems (NetSuite, Intacct).
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
• Strong communication skills for explaining accounting concepts.
• Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment.
