Back End Developer for Crypto Exchange Platform - Remote

Overview

We're looking for a Back End Developer to join the international team behind the development of a crypto exchange platform. You'll be responsible for building and maintaining scalable, secure APIs and services that power the core of the platform.

In Short

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services using Python
• Develop and integrate APIs that interact with blockchain networks and smart contracts using tools like Web3.js or Ethers.js
• Connect and manage wallet integrations to enable seamless user authentication and transaction flows
• Collaborate with the front-end team to define and support end-to-end Web3 user experiences
• Manage and optimize relational and non-relational databases
• Ensure application security, reliability, and performance by applying backend best practices and blockchain-specific safeguards
• Monitor and support blockchain infrastructure (nodes, RPC endpoints) where applicable
• Stay up-to-date with emerging Web3 trends, especially DeFi protocols, NFT standards, and Ethereum ecosystem updates

Requirements

• Strong experience with Python and FastAPI
• Solid knowledge of SQLAlchemy, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB
• Proficient with Redis for caching and data handling
• Understanding of backend architecture, API development, and database optimization
• Experience with DevOps tools and practices e.g. Docker, CI/CD, cloud infra, etc. will be a great advantage
• Nice to have familiarity with blockchain, smart contracts, or Web3 tools
