Deployment Engineer - Team Lead - Remote

Overview

The Deployment Engineer - Team Lead will be a key member of the Automation Team which is responsible for supporting the integration of our meal assembly automation - the Infinite Kitchen - into new and existing restaurants. Our goals are to improve the daily routines for our restaurant staff, optimize their workflows, and enable an outstanding customer experience. As sweetgreen expands its footprint of automated kitchens, we are looking for a Deployment Engineer, Team Lead to install and maintain our automation equipment, both software and hardware, across the country.

In Short

• Lead a small team of technicians in deploying automation equipment.
• Own the deployment process from planning to execution.
• Manage team travel schedules and training.
• Run commissioning testing during deployments.
• Coordinate with General Contractors and third parties.
• Maintain deployment timelines and documentation.
• Support technician tasks during low deployment periods.
• Improve workflows and systems related to deployments.
• Provide feedback to engineering teams for improvements.
• Travel up to 75% of the time across the US.

Requirements

• 3+ years of related work experience.
• 1+ years of experience leading technical teams.
• 1+ years of experience installing large automation equipment.
• Familiarity with construction sites and communication with contractors.
• Flexible to travel and work around restaurant operating hours.
• Process-oriented and collaborative.
• Proficient in troubleshooting complex systems.
• Able to follow mechanical and electrical drawings.
• Proficient in digital tools like Google Docs and Sheets.
• Capable of managing equipment installation using hand tools.
