Release Engineer II - Nissan Program - Remote

Overview

This is a hybrid position based in Farmington Hills, Michigan, requiring associates to work at least three days in the office while allowing flexibility for off-site work.

In Short

• Confirm and check design changes from NTCNA for all L42P & P42S release activities.
• Update and maintain packaging data for related releases.
• Focus on obsolescence reduction.
• Explore complexity reduction ideas.
• Design and release wire harness drawings for Nissan Programs.
• Interface with the engineering team for design changes to 3D and 2D drawings.
• Support vehicle launches and prototype builds.
• Good verbal and written language skills; Japanese is a plus.
• 4-8 years of experience with wire harness design.
• 4yr B.S. Degree or equivalent experience.

Requirements

• 4yr B.S. Degree or equivalent experience.
• 4-8 years of experience with wire harness design and packaging.
• Good language skills, both verbal and written; Japanese language is a plus.
• 3D CAD experience is a must (NX, CATIA or IDEAS).
• Ability to mark up cost studies and communicate changes effectively.
• Experience in confirming design changes and tracking issues.
• Understanding of 2D wire harness drawings.
• Ability to interface directly with various functional groups.
• Experience in obsolescence and complexity reduction activities.
• Support for vehicle launches and prototype builds.
