Overview

Students for Life of America (SFLA) is seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Writing Manager to lead our newly formed writing team. This role is essential to centralizing and elevating the quality of marketing content across all departments. The Writing Manager will be responsible for writing and editing content, managing a team of writers and editors, and implementing AI tools to streamline and enhance the content creation process. This position requires a strong editorial eye, project management skills, the ability to lead a team, and a passion for pro-life messaging.

In Short

• Manage a team of writers and editors for marketing content.
• Collaborate with the Marketing Director on assignments and deadlines.
• Conduct first-round edits and provide feedback to writers.
• Score submissions using AI tools and maintain performance records.
• Develop and maintain a Lexicon and Style Guide for SFLA.
• Lead AI tool implementation and training for the writing team.
• Use Asana for project management and workflow tasks.
• Ensure timely delivery of high-quality content.
• 5+ years of experience in writing and editing required.
• Passion for pro-life messaging is essential.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Knowledge of grammar rules and the Oxford comma.
• Experience in managing creative teams and editorial workflows.
• Strong understanding of AI tools for content creation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly organized with project management skills.
