Senior DevOps Engineer - Remote

Overview

The Senior DevOps Engineer works with DevOps leadership, the Center of Excellence, and multiple Scrum teams to identify, design and implement new automation patterns in our CI/CD pipeline with a focus on security, resilience, and observability.

In Short

• Architect, implement, and manage AWS production and development environments.
• Configure and administer CI/CD build tools and automated testing systems.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
• Ensure development activities are secure and protected.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure adherence to DevOps standards.
• Define and develop reporting and metrics for environment status.
• Contribute to the design and implementation of DevOps best practices.
• Document procedures and report on current environment configurations.
• Mentor other DevOps engineers.
• Work in a fast-paced environment with multiple competing priorities.

Requirements

• BS or MS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, with at least 4 years focused on AWS.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• 4 years of experience with Unix and scripting languages.
• 3 years of experience with configuration management.
• 2 years of experience with Postgres, Tomcat, and Apache.
• 3 years of experience with Terraform and CloudFormation.
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with source code management and build tools.
• Able to work on a flexible schedule for overnight deployments.
