Senior Property Accountant - Remote

Overview

The Senior Property Accountant ensures that the financial statements for their assigned portfolio are completed timely and accurately, including a detailed review of monthly financial statements and general ledger.

In Short

• Perform the full accounting cycle.
• Provide internal and external reporting of a portfolio/property’s financial results.
• Work with Property Management personnel for financial performance analysis.
• Support budgeting and expense reconciliation preparation.
• Prepare recurring and ad hoc reports.
• Act as a customer service leader for internal and external communications.
• Mentor and share knowledge with team members.
• Prepare monthly financial statement packages for clients.
• Ensure compliance with internal and external reporting deadlines.
• Interact with clients on complex issues.

Requirements

• BS Degree in Accounting or related field required.
• 3-8 years of related accounting/reporting experience.
• Real estate industry experience preferred.
• Intermediate understanding of accounting principles.
• Knowledge of budgets and CAM reconciliations preferred.
• Intermediate competence in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
• Experience with Yardi and/or MRI preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to multi-task and thrive in a deadline-oriented environment.
• Initiative in routine problem-solving.
