Property Accounting Manager - Remote

Overview

The Property Accounting Manager is responsible for effectively managing a team of Staff and Senior Accountants while providing a high level of commitment and customer service to the Client as well as the team and other Stream co-workers.

In Short

• Manage a Property Accounting team consisting of direct reports.
• Lead and direct accountants in preparing financials for various projects.
• Act as a liaison between the Client and the project accounting team.
• Review financial statement packages for accuracy before submission.
• Collaborate with property management for successful transitions of properties.
• Identify training needs and track performance of team members.
• Promote positive internal and external customer service.
• Assist accountants with processing various financial tasks.
• Ensure proper recording of projects and assets.
• Develop training for accountants on real estate accounting processes.

Requirements

• Prior management experience preferred.
• Experience leading a team of degreed accountants.
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
• High commitment to customer service.
• In-depth understanding of accounting methods and financial principles.
• Ability to handle complex employee issues confidentially.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance with 5+ years’ experience.
