Senior Property Accountant - Property Transitions Team - Remote

Overview

The Senior Property Accountant will maintain portfolios awaiting allocation, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements while collaborating with the Property Management teams.

In Short

• Perform the full accounting cycle for assigned portfolios.
• Provide internal and external financial reporting.
• Collaborate with Property Management for financial analysis.
• Support budgeting and expense reconciliation processes.
• Prepare recurring and ad hoc financial reports.
• Act as a customer service leader for internal and external queries.
• Mentor team members and share knowledge.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and ensure compliance.
• Interact with clients and property management teams.
• Manage project cash accounts and ensure timely payments.

Requirements

• BS Degree in Accounting or related field.
• 3-8 years of accounting/reporting experience.
• Real estate industry experience preferred.
• Strong analytical and accounting skills.
• Intermediate knowledge of accounting principles.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
• Experience with Yardi and/or MRI preferred.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to multi-task.
• Problem-solving initiative with feedback capability.
