Property Accountant - Remote

Overview

The Property Accountant provides full cycle accounting including the internal and external reporting of an assigned portfolio/property’s financial results, preparing monthly financial statement packages for clients.

In Short

• Full cycle accounting for assigned properties.
• Preparation of monthly financial statements.
• Interaction with property management and clients.
• Support budgeting and expense reconciliation.
• Prepare and submit Sales & Use Tax returns.
• Manage cash accounts and ensure timely payments.
• Review payables and process vendor invoices.
• Ensure compliance with SOC I requirements.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Other projects as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related discipline.
• 2-4 years of commercial property accounting experience.
• Full-cycle G/L accounting experience.
• Knowledge of accounting software; Yardi and/or MRI preferred.
• Intermediate Excel and Outlook skills.
• Strong analytical and accounting skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to interact with clients and team members.
• Self-motivated and able to multi-task.
• Initiative in solving problems.
