Property Accountant II - Remote

Overview

The Property Accountant II will be responsible for providing internal and external reporting of financial results for a portfolio/property, ensuring compliance with deadlines and delivering excellent customer service.

In Short

• Prepare monthly financial statement packages for clients.
• Perform full cycle accounting including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Interact with property management and clients regarding financial information.
• Support budgeting processes and expense reconciliations.
• Prepare recurring and ad hoc reports.
• Manage cash accounts and ensure timely payments.
• Review payables and process vendor invoices.
• Ensure compliance with SOC I requirements.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Other projects as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related discipline required.
• 2-4 years of commercial property accounting experience required.
• Full-cycle G/L accounting and CAM reconciliations preferred.
• Knowledge of accounting software such as Yardi and/or MRI preferred.
• Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
• Strong analytical and accounting skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to interact with clients and team members.
• Self-motivated and able to thrive in a deadline-oriented environment.
• Initiative in problem-solving and presenting solutions.
