Documentation Engineer (Contract) - Remote

Overview

We're seeking a meticulous Documentation Engineer to help us capture critical organizational knowledge and create accessible resources, on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will have experience documenting complex technical processes, ideally related to machine learning and heavy industry, with strong interview skills to obtain knowledge from subject matter experts.

• Collaborate with technical, sales, and operational teams to ensure accuracy and completeness of documentation.
• Build a searchable knowledge repository using appropriate tools.
• Maintain version control for all documentation, ensuring materials remain current.
• Develop onboarding materials to accelerate new hire integration.
• Report progress on documentation initiatives to leadership on a 3-week cycle.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 3+ years experience in documentation, knowledge management, or technical writing.
• Demonstrated ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear documentation.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Proficiency with documentation tools and knowledge management systems.
• Superior written and verbal communication skills.
