Overview

The credentialing assistant will be a skilled professional with expertise in insurance follow-up. This role entails conducting weekly follow-ups for all commercial insurances selected by the client, ensuring comprehensive documentation is provided, and collaborating closely with insurance providers to facilitate the completion of enrollment (achieving in-network enrollment status) with each follow-up, as well as current contract inquiries.

In Short

  • Provide a seamless experience for patients to receive therapy services.
  • Greet patients and check-in, ensuring all information is complete.
  • Collect Over The Counter (OTC) payments at the time of service.
  • Schedule new patients and re-visits using cluster booking strategies.
  • Maintain Plans of Care (POCs) and monitor unsigned documents.
  • Manage patient communication through various channels.
  • Communicate with providers to resolve scheduling conflicts.
  • Manage patient cases in EMR, ensuring all information is current.
  • Run daily reports and maintain tracking sheets for patient frequency.
  • Review unbilled lists and correct necessary information.

Requirements

  • Experience in insurance follow-up and patient management.
  • Strong communication skills for patient and provider interactions.
  • Proficiency in EMR systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
