In Short

• Contribute to the technical direction of the team and broader perception org.
• Write robust software for real-time, resource-constrained, safety-critical applications.
• Drive highly cross-functional features and work streams from problem statement to delivery in the area of mapping and perception.
• Proactively identify limitations with the existing online mapping system and drive improvements.
• Align stakeholders with strong presentation and communication skills.
• Lead challenging technical topics and build consensus.

Requirements

• BS (with 6 years of experience), MS (with 5 years of experience) or PhD (with 3 years of experience) in Autonomous Driving, Robotics or AR/VR
• Track record of driving projects from start to completion, including conception, problem definition, experimentation, iteration, and finally productization.
• Experience in resource constrained software engineering design for EdgeAI. Experience being an architect/tech lead of major onboard components in robotic systems is highly desirable.
• Experience delivering perception/mapping/localization solutions for real-time robotic applications. Prior experience in sensor fusion and/or online mapping is highly desirable.
• Experience in building data and metrics pipelines for ML model development
• Fluency in C++ and Python.
