Senior AWS Application Developer - Remote

Overview

SFI is seeking a Subject Matter Expert in software development to join our team supporting the Federal Agency in the Washington D.C. metropolitan area. The candidate will be a key member of a team that works on software design, development, debugging, testing and implementation of software applications to manage our clients address database and associated applications in the AWS cloud environment.

In Short

• Lead the development of software solutions in the AWS cloud.
• Lead the analysis, data modeling, technical and functional design through the software development life cycle (SDLC).
• Perform data analysis on complex data structures and provide solutions to complex problems.
• Assist in creating implementation plans and procedures to satisfy stakeholder requirements.
• Perform quality assurance and control on developed software.
• Design, develop, enhance, debug, and implement cloud application software.
• Research, test, build, and coordinate the conversion and/or integration of new products.
• Develop and design reports as requested by the customer.
• Prepare presentations highlighting solutions and application road maps.
• Effective communication with senior-level management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or equivalent.
• 10 years’ experience in software development projects.
• 3+ years experience with AWS cloud services.
• 3+ years experience with relational databases, SQL, and/or PostgreSQL.
• 3+ years experience building backend services and/or Web APIs.
• 3+ years' experience in Python programming.
• Strong experience with AWS serverless products.
• Highly analytical, possessing critical thinking skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
