Database Administrator (MongoDB or Sybase Required) - Remote

Overview

Spatial Front, inc. is seeking a hands-on Database Administrator to join our team supporting our federal client.

In Short

• Monitor clustered & replicated database systems health and configurations daily.
• Ensure performance, security, and availability of databases in the operational, QA, and development environments.
• Remediate problems/issues in a timely manner.
• Perform day-to-day operational activities including troubleshoot, break/fix, and failovers.
• Assist in the technical analysis and design for current and future projects.
• Deploy clustered & replicated database systems.
• Handle common database procedures, such as upgrade, backup, recovery, migration, etc.
• Monitor backups and maintenance jobs.
• Provide assistance with ad-hoc query development and data analysis.
• Provide 24x7x365 on-call rotation for after-hours support.

Requirements

• BA/BS Degree with at least 4 years of experience.
• 4+ Years of IT experience, specifically in a DBA role.
• 3+ years working with MongoDB OR 3 + years working with Sybase.
• Experience with PostgreSQL.
• Good team player with strong analytical, communication and troubleshooting skills.
• Able to work under pressure and multi-task.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Benefits

• The salary for this position is $75,000 - $105,000 annually.
• This role offers a flexible work arrangement, primarily remote.
• Occasional on-site presence may be required to support client needs.
