The Investigative Reporter writes news features and investigative reports to further the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC)’s mission and goals.

In Short

• Write investigative news and features reports.
• Research future story ideas to support SPLC's mission.
• Collaborate with the research team on writing and editing.
• Review and file information requests and court documents.
• Contact and interview sources for editorial content.
• Participate in meetings and media engagements.
• Coordinate with internal partners to create impactful content.
• Perform other assigned duties within the job classification.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of investigative journalism experience.
• High School Diploma or GED.
