Senior Instructional Designer - Remote

Overview

South College is seeking an experienced Senior Instructional Designer to lead the development of high-quality, learner-centered instructional materials and course designs that reflect best practices in higher education.

In Short

• Lead Learning Design Projects including needs analysis and evaluation.
• Design and develop high-quality learning experiences.
• Collaborate with SMEs and cross-functional teams.
• Utilize instructional design models and learning analytics.
• Create assessment tools to evaluate program effectiveness.
• Leverage authoring tools and LMS for content delivery.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to peers.
• Support additional instructional design projects as assigned.
• Work remotely with potential travel to campuses.
• Contribute to departmental goals and academic innovation.

Requirements

• Minimum of a master’s degree in education or related field.
• At least 5 years of instructional design experience.
• Experience designing online and hybrid courses.
• Strong knowledge of instructional design principles.
• Experience with course authoring tools and media creation tools.
• Excellent project management and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse faculty.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining accountability.
