Lead Platform Engineer - Remote

Overview

Solace is looking for a Lead Platform Engineer to join our fast-moving, mission-driven team. You’ll be our in-house expert on DevOps owning the strategy, architecture, and implementation of infrastructure that supports our entire engineering team.

In Short

• Own the DevOps roadmap and architect the evolution of our infrastructure.
• Drive the AWS migration from Heroku to AWS.
• Optimize developer experience by automating systems.
• Enable isolated feature testing environments.
• Monitor and optimize performance with alerting systems.
• Build secure and scalable systems.

Requirements

• 5+ years of DevOps/Platform experience.
• Expert-level knowledge of AWS services.
• Strong background in setting up CI/CD pipelines.
• Deep focus on developer enablement and automation.
• Experience with monitoring tools/APMs.
• Familiarity with Heroku and large-scale migrations.
• Fluency in scripting/automation (Bash, Python, Terraform).
• Clear communicator regarding infrastructure tradeoffs.
