Head of Accounting - Remote

Overview

As the Head of Accounting at Solace, you will build the accounting function’s foundation while being hands-on and designing scalable processes.

In Short

• Own the monthly close and financial reporting processes.
• Establish accounting policies and frameworks.
• Build the accounting function and define chart of accounts.
• Lead audit and tax readiness initiatives.
• Evaluate and recommend accounting tools and systems.
• Hire and develop the accounting team.
• Drive cross-functional partnerships for data quality.
• Execute journal entries and reconciliations as needed.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
• Experience with ERP systems like NetSuite.

Requirements

• 6+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Big 4 background preferred.
• Proven track record in managing close processes.
• Strong accounting judgment and decision-making skills.
• Experience in high-growth startups.
• CPA certification required.
• Experience with revenue recognition (ASC 606).
• Exposure to SOC readiness and controls design.
